Airo and The 4 elements

This piece of work should be an inspiration for all the webdesigners out there who like to create something unique fully loaded with graphics.
Webdesign has evolved a great deal over the years but still i get the feeling that we are limited in our capability to transform our thoughs onto the web.
The technique i used to make it glass looking, came to me out of the blue, but i'm quite sure i'm gonna use it again in the future.
Keep in mind that this work has not yet been worked out in an operational website.

However i had an idea that would involve alot of css strugle.
I would make 4 versions: 1. the dawn version 2. day version 3. dusk version 4. night version.
A script would make the background change depending on the server's time at that moment.
